Mr. Blair L. Bennett, 75, of Clear Ridge Road, Everett, died at 10:25 PM, Wednesday, June 16th, 2010 at Altoona Regional Hospital. 

Mr. Bennett was born in Everett on Sunday, September 16, 1934,  the son of the late Roy and Elsie (Dibert) Bennett.

On December 20, 1987, he married Mary Jane (Gates) Bennett.  In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- Stephen B. Bennett, Sr. husband of  Cindy (Shaw) Bennett, Everett; Son- Brian L. husband of  Loretta (Clark) Bennett, Everett; Step Daughter- Ann wife of  Kyle Seaman, Etters. He is also survived by six grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren, and three great grandchildren and one step-great grandchild. Blair was preceded in death by his first wife, Ida (Mock) Bennett on June 5, 1986, a brother, Webster Bennett and two sisters, Helen Zimmerman and Marie Koontz

He was a member of  Pennwood Bible Church.  Blair served as a deacon at Cherry Lane Church of the Brethren, Everett Grace Brethren and at Pennwood Bible Church. 

He was a lifelong farmer.  Blair was a member of the Board of Directors for Agway and served on several committees.  He was also on the Board of Directors for Bedford Farm Bureau, the Everett Bank and ASCS. 

A funeral service will be held at Pennwood Bible Church, Everett. at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010  with Rev. Floyd Rinehart  officiating.

Interment at Everett Cemetery. 

Friends are invited to call on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, 745 Raystown Road, Everett.
