                                 OBITUARY                                                June 23, 2010

                           David P. "Bud" Bowman

Mr. David P. "Bud"  Bowman, 76, of Lincoln Highway, Manns Choice, died at 7:37 PM, Wednesday, June 23rd, 2010 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.  

Mr. Bowman was born in Jerome on Saturday, March 17, 1934, the son of the late John and Mildred Mowry.

On July 21, 1956, he married Kathryn M. (Sciranko) Bowman.  In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- Michael P. Bowman and companion Carrie Jones, Manns Choice; Daughter- Patricia A. wife of  Stephen W. Smith, Bedford. Bud is also survived by three grandchildren, Valene Kinsey wife of Michael, Kyle Smith and Jenna Bowman and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews

He was a member of Chestnut Ridge Independent Fellowship Church.

Bud was a 1951 graduate of Schellsburg-Napier High School. 

Bud was employed as a equipment operator for PennDot for thirty-six years until his retirement in 1996.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman.  Bud was a fan of NASCAR and loved helping out on the farm.  He was a loving father and husband who will be greatly missed by his family and friends

A Funeral Service will be held  at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 10:30 AM on Saturday, June 26th, 2010 with Rev. Rex Lusk officiating.

Interment at Schellsburg Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
