                                 OBITUARY                                                July 26, 2010

                        Curtis R. Corle

Mr. Curtis R. Corle, 63, of Cider Press Road, Alum Bank, died at 2:14 PM, Monday, July 26th, 2010 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Corle was born in Johnstown on Thursday, May 1, 1947, the son of the late Russell and Marie (Claycomb) Corle.

On September 6, 1997, he married Sarah G. "Sally" Callihan. In addition to his wife he is survived by Daughter- Lisa D. wife of Todd Corle, Schellsburg; Son- Curtis R. Corle, Jr. husband of Tammy (Martin) Corle, Lovely; Daughter- Amanda M. wife of Clayton Milliron, Osterburg; Step Daughter- Heather L. Sims, York; Step Son- Kendryl C. husband of Jessica (Colledge) Sims, Alum Bank; Step Son- Danyl J. husband of Beth (Schenker) Sims, Swedesboro, NJ; Brother- Kendall Corle, Imler; Nephew- Kenny Corle. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren.

Curtis was a 1965 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School. He served in the US Army in the Vietnam War. He was a molder for US Steel Johnstown Works and for Specialty Castings for 38 years. Curtis was a past president of the United Steel Workers of America #2632 in Johnstown.

He was a member of the Dunnings Creek Church of the Brethren.

Curtis was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoying both pursuits with his grandson Brady. He enjoyed coaching softball and watching his nephew Kenny at his wrestling matches.

A Funeral Service will be held at Dunnings Creek Church of the Brethren at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 30th, 2010 with Rev. Alan Brumbaugh officiating.

Interment at Bedford County Memorial Park.

Friends are invited to call on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the church.
