Mr. Barry J. "Doc" Snyder, 66, of White Pine Road, Osterburg, died at 12:42 AM, Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Snyder was born in Johnstown on Tuesday, September 7, 1943, the son of the late E.T. Cecil and Lydia Elizabeth (Glessner) Snyder.

On April 25, 2006, he married Jing (Ye) "Sherry" Snyder. In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- Barry T. Snyder; Son- Heath E. Snyder and fiance Melinda Miller, Everett; Daughter- Elizabeth S. Snyder, Schellsburg; Step Son- James Sun, at home; Step Son- Angel Sun, at home; Brother- Gerald B. Johnson, Frisbee, MD; Brother- Jack Snyder, IL. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Cayden W.J. Johnson, Brayden J. Snyder and Ryleigh P. Snyder.

Doc was a lifelong truck driver. He served two tours of duty during the Vietnam War and was a graduate of Meyersdale High School.

A funeral service will be held at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 4th, 2010 with Pastor Bruce Maxwell officiating.
