OBITUARY June 30, 2008
Doris M. Fetter
Mrs. Doris M. Fetter, age 83, of Reed Hill Road, Fishertown, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by her husband, children and their spouses , on Sunday June 29th, 2008.
Mrs. Fetter was born in Ryot, on Friday, February 6, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Bessie (Miller) Ickes.

She was
affiliated with the Point United Methodist Church.
Doris attended the Altoona School of Commerce and worked at the Hartley Bank in Bedford prior to her marriage to Ira. In 1965 she began working as a secretary at Blue Knob State Park. She retired after 20 years in 1995. Doris enjoyed knitting sweaters that she sent to Guideposts. The sweaters were distributed to needy children around the world. She also loved to knit afghans, make quilts, read, and do crossword puzzles and cryptoquotes. She will be greatly missed by both family and friends..
Doris was the wife of Ira H. Fetter, whom she married December 14, 1945..
In addition to her husband she is survived by Son- H. Alan Fetter husband of Donna Figard, New Paris; Daughter- Cheryl D. wife of John E. Duffy, Bedford; Son- Brian K. Fetter husband of Cindi Claycomb, Osterburg; Brother- Fred Ickes, Fishertown; Sister- Audrey Kimmins, Bedford; Sister- Shirley Conner, Fishertown. Doris is also survived by five grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, five step-great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren and a very special friend who cared for her - Brenda Nunamaker. She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law - Joseph Kimmins, and a step-grandson -Frank Duffy.
A Funeral Service will be held at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc., Pleasantville at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 3rd, 2008, with Rev. Raymond Hill, officiating.
Interment at Fishertown Cemetery .
