                              Eugene C. "Moose" Callihan

Mr. Eugene C. "Moose"  Callihan, 75, of E. Pitt Street, Bedford, formerly of Windber, died at 8:20 AM, Monday, June 14th, 2010 at Altoona Regional Hospital.

Mr. Callihan was born in W. St. Clair Township, on Saturday, June 23, 1934, the son of Ruth (Price) Callihan of Bedford and the late Harold "Ted" Callihan. Moose is survived by Brother- Leroy "Spud" Callihan, Fishertown; Doris A. Hickey, Bedford; Sister- Carolyn D. Ferguson, York.  In addition to his father, Moose was preceded in death by a grandson, Caleb Bassett

In addition to his mother, brother and sisters, he is survived by his former wives, Sarah (Crum) Callihan of Henderson, NV and Andrea (Brown) Callihan of Windber.   Son- Thomas M. husband of  Ann (Griffith) Callihan, Windber; Daughter- Katherine E. Callihan, Henderson, NV; Daughter- Kimberly D. wife of  Jeff Bassett, Henderson, NV; Daughter- Pamela E. Callihan, Beatty, NV; Son- Eugene "Bud" Callihan, Windber; Daughter- Audreyona Callihan, Windber; Son- Harold "Teddy" Callihan, Windber; Grandson- Ellis W. husband of  Nicholette (Werner) Hess, Mechanicsburg; Grandson- David A. husband of  Heather (Huffman) Hess, Brockway; Granddaughter-  Ellen M.  wife of  Matthew Cline, Buena Vista, VA; Granddaughter-  Abbie L. Callihan, Johnstown; Grandson- Jeffrey M. Bassett, Jr., Wappingers Falls, NY; Granddaughter-  Sarah M. wife of  David Pemberton, Wappingers Falls, NY; Granddaughter-  Rebekah J. Bassett, Henderson, NV; Granddaughter-  Stephanie D.  Bassett, Henderson, NV; Granddaughter-  Kaytlyn H. Bassett, Henderson, NV; Grandson- Daniel  A. Bassett, Henderson, NV; Grandson- Joshua A. Moose was a lifelong truck driver and well known, well liked and well respected in the industry. 

A Memorial Service will be held at at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 16th, 2010.

Friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 1:00 - 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
