OBITUARY June 2, 2008
Randall R. McCreary
Mr. Randall R. McCreary, age 100 1/2, of McCreary Road, Schellsburg, died at 9:00 PM , Saturday, May 31st, 2008 at his home.
Mr. McCreary was born in Johnstown, on Friday, November 15, 1907, the son of the late William A. and Lizzie M. (Darr) McCreary.
He was affiliated with the New Paris United Methodist Church and worked as a welder for 25 years at Bethlehem Steel in Johnstown. Randall was also a lifelong farmer. Randall was a living historian who loved reminiscing with family & friends about by gone days. Randall and his stories will long be remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Randall was
the husband of Irene (Moore) McCreary, whom he married June 15, 1939 in
Winchester, VA..
In addition to
his wife he is survived by Daughter- Janet F. wife of Edward Erjavek, Lytle
Creek, CA; Daughter- Marian L. Heidorn, Schellsburg; Daughter- Susan P. wife
of Gene Kiessling, Manassas, VA; Daughter- Christine wife of Richard Imler,
Schellsburg; Daughter- Kay M. wife of Randall Kring, New Paris. Randall is
also survived by Grandchildren - Edward Randall Erjavek, Michelle Berger,
Victoria (Biggers) Howard, Lindsey Kring, Step-grandchild - Brandi Imler,
Great-Grandchildren - Damien Weyandt, Justin Berger, Amber Hoppe, Alyssa Howard,
Step-Great Grandsons - Isaiah Mangum, & Logan Dick, Great-Great-Grandchildren -
Bailee & Lucas Weyandt. He was preceded in death by a Grandson - Matthew
Heidorn, Twin sister - Raydith Dull, Sisters - Verna Ackerman, Marian Graves,
and infant Edith, and Brother Henry McCreary.
A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg, at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 6th, 2008, with Revs. Donald Rudge & Mark Griffith, officiating.
Interment at Helixville Cemetery.
