I was deeply saddened to hear of Tub's passing. Some of my earliest childhood memories growing up have Tub in them. As an adolescent, I spent many hours at the Milburn house and I always enjoyed Tub. He had a fantastic sense of humor that made him easy to be around. My sympathy goes out to the family, I know he will be missed.

My Dad was my hero. Growing up, Dad was not a very sentimental person, but I always knew I was his girl and that he loved me. I was always proud to say "I am Larry Milburn's daughter." When Mark and I first met, he wondered how I knew so many people, he always said, "You know everyone, if you're not related to them, your Dad does their plumbing" and we always joked about that because everyone did know Dad. He was a hard-working, honest man who sacrificed a lot so Larry and I could have the best when we were kids. I never once heard him say that he hated his job. He never complained about being called out late at night, or on the weekends, nor were there many holidays that he got to enjoy a hot, uniterrupted meal. But, Dad enjoyed what he did and he was good at it. The past few months the cancer had taken it's toll, his tired body became frail and weaker each day, but he still rarely complained and he fought to his last breath because he could see in our eyes we were not ready to lose him. Dad and I shared many wonderful memories throughout the years but one of the last things we did together was to watch Brooks & Dunn's Last Rodeo. When the song "You're Gonna Miss Me When I'm Gone" came on, he just looked over at me and winked. We both knew what was coming, but we neither one said a word. Well, Dad, I guess this is "our" last rodeo, and I am sure gonna miss you. You were my hero from the beginning to the end. I will always love you!!!!!

Tub was my brother-in-law for 26 years. He was one of the finest men that I have ever known. He would do anything to help anyone. I never heard him complain. I can't count the number of times he missed a holiday dinner, a special occassion, or being sick, he would always go on the service calls because he would never let anyone go without heat or water, no matter what time of the day or night. He truly loved his job and his family. Tub and Cass had a very special relationship. They knew what each other was thinking and would have it done without one verbalized word. I loved spending time with them, we always were getting ourselves into projects. If Tub was measuring or cutting wood and it would be too short he would always say, "Thats an architecturel oversite". He would come off with some pretty good quips. He always made me laugh, you could not be grouchy or in a bad mood because he would aggravate me until I would laugh. He tried to convince me that my eyes were crooked, one eye was up further than the other. I always argued that it was not. Two weeks ago I went to get an eye exam and the doctor told me that my eyes were slightly crooked. I just smiled to myself and thought well Tub you were right all along, he got the last laugh. I will miss him vey much. My deepest, sincere condolences to the family. Cass has a close knit family and that is what will get them through this, but Tub's presence will always be missed.
