                                 OBITUARY                    February 24, 2008

                                                  Veron A. Barnhart

Mrs. Veron  A.  Barnhart, age 83, of  Leonard Road,  Alum Bank,  but formerly of Fishertown, died at 6:20  AM , Saturday, February 23rd, 2008 at her home.

Mrs. Barnhart was born in West St. Clair Township, on  Wednesday, May 21, 1924,  she was the daughter of the late Harry Loy and Margaret Ellen  (Darr) Callihan.

She was a  cafeteria worker for the  Chestnut Ridge School District.. and a member of the Dunnings Creek Church of the Brethren.

Veron was preceded in death by 3 husbands - John Alvin Rogers, Stanley Pensyl and James Barnhart.

She is survived by  a  Sister- Mabel L. Leonard, Alum Bank.  Veron is survived by step-children - John Pensyl and wife Linda of New Paris, Betty Stiffler and husband Bernard of Spring Grove and Cathy Kinsman and husband Mark of West Virginia.  Also surviving are a number of nieces & nephews along with 5 step-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by  2 sisters - Dora Ferguson & Ruth Heidorn,  2 brothers - Clark & Harold 'Ted" Callihan.

A Funeral Service will be held  at the at Dunnings Creek Church of the Brethren at 11:00  AM on Tuesday, February 26th,  with Rev. Alan Brumbaugh officiating.

Interment at Fishertown Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call Monday 2 to 4 & 7 to 9  PM at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Pleasantville and Tuesday 10:30 to 11:00  AM at Dunnings Creek Church of the Brethren.
