                                 OBITUARY                    December 10, 2007

                                                Dr. Robert B. Brown

Dr. Robert B. Brown, age 81, of Windwood Circle, a life long resident of Bedford, died at 8:35 PM , Sunday, December 9th, 2007 at home.

Mr. Brown was born in Bedford, on Saturday, October 2, 1926, son of the late Bruce H. and Zelda M. (Feight) Brown.

Robert was a graduate of Bedford High School class of 1944, University of Pittsburgh 1950, and the Dental School in 1954. Dr. Brown Practiced in Bedford until his retirment in 1991. He was a member of the American Dental Association, the Bedford Elks, Bedford VFW Post # 7527, and was a life member of Bedford American Legion Post # 113, where he was a Post Commander. Robert was a Veteran of World War II and served in the Pacific Theater and Japan, with the Army Engineers. He enjoyed photography,woodworking, covered bridges, and his grandchildren, he was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ.

Robert was the husband of Marilyn J. (Miller) Brown, whom he married on May 28, 1960 at Heinz Chapel in Pittsburgh.

In addition to his wife he is survived by Daughter- Suzanne B. wife of Andrew B. Jones, Madison, WI; Son- Gary R. Brown, Hilton Head, SC; Daughter- Kimberly A. wife of Bradley M. Telep, Harrisburg; Sister- Betty Jane Saylor, Syracuse, NY; Brother- Jerry Brown husband of Carol , Lima, OH; Numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren-Samuel, Amanda, Daniel, and Jacob, and a special friend Faith Diehl age 8. He was preceded in death by a niece Cindy Spafford.

A funeral service will be held at St. John's United Church of Christ at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 14th, 2007 with Rev. Joseph Puleo officiating.

Interment at Bedford County Memorial Park. Graveside Military Rites Accorded by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.

Friends are invited to call Thursday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford and Friday 9:30 - 10:00 AM at St. John's United Church of Christ.
