                                 OBITUARY                        August 6, 2006

                                                   Robert W. Burket

 

 

 

 

Mr. Robert W. Burket, age 78, of Burket Hill Road, Imler, died at 8:50 PM , Saturday, August 5th, 2006 at Altoona Hospital, in Blair County,

Mr. Burket was born in Pavia, PA on Sunday, November 27, 1927; he was the son of the late Clarence and Selma (Mock) Burket.

He worked as a machinist at U. S. Steel in Johnstown for 37 years, was an avid sportsman and a member of the Mt. Zion Reformed Church of Pavia and the Oak Wood Hunting Camp in Potter County. Bobby was the husband ofMeriam L. (Corle) Burket, whom he married July21, 1951.

In addition to his wife he is survived by Daughter- Janice C. wife of Ray Maclntyre, Alum Bank; Son- Gary W. Burket, Claysburg; Son- Lt. Col. Alan R. Burket husband of Colleen Connelly, Culpeper, VA; Sister- Lois Berkey, Pavia; Brother- Wilbur "Mike" Burkett, Pavia. Bobby is also survived by 6 Grandchildren - James, Mick, Alanna, Deidre, Anne Marie and Misty along with 3 Great-Grandchildren - Wyatt, Sophia and Shamus.

A Funeral Service will be held at Mt. Zion Reformed Church at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, August 9th, with Rev. Bruce Whalen officiating.

Interment at Pavia Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call Tuesday 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM at t he Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Pleasantville.

 

There will be no viewing at the church on Wednesday............
