                                 OBITUARY                    July 9, 2007

                                                  Wynetta L. Chirdon

 

 

 

 

Mrs. Wynetta L. Chirdon, age 64, of Allegheny Road, Manns Choice,  at 5:38   PM , Saturday, July 7th, 2007 went with the Lord, our Savior. at Conemaugh Valley Medical Center, Johnstown.

Mrs. Chirdon was born in Johnstown,  on November 20, 1942,   the daughter of the late Evan and Margaret (Irons) Strick.

She was the wife of J. Leo  Chirdon, whom she married February 13, 1987.

In addition to her husband she is survived by Son- William F. Nugent, Newton, NC; Son- Michael D. husband of  Debbie Leach Nugent, Rome, GA; Son- Evan T. husband of  Karen Breakey Nugent, York; Son- Terry P. husband of  Nancy Griffith Nugent, Buffalo Mills; Daughter- Kathleen L.  (Brett) wife of  Greg Vannatter, Pulaski, TN; Daughter- Tracy L. (Brett) Myers, Pulaski, TN; Son- Patrick S. Brett, Bedford; Son- Richard G. Brett, New Paris; Daughter- Shannon (Brett) wife of  Jimmy Waybright, Bedford.  Wynetta is also survived by 24 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren and one on the way.  She was one of 12 children, 5 sisters and 6 brothers, the closest to her heart being Pam Debrota, Joanne McGill and Margaret Thomas.  She also had a special relationship with Nieces - Mailee, Dusti, Tammi, Kristyn and Pammi.  Mrs. Chirdon, loving wife and mother of nine children was employed for 15 years by New Enterprise Stone and Lime.  She enjoyed working with her hands;  she spent endless hours in the garden, also enjoyed working with wood and making other crafts, she especially enjoyed taking care of the animals on her farm.

A Funeral Service will be held  at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg, PA. at 8:30  PM on Tuesday, July 10th,  with Rev. William Fenstermaker officiating.
