                                                 Madeline P. Currie

 

 

 

Madeline P. Currie, age 83, of Bedford, died at 6:05 PM , Saturday, December 8th, 2007 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Mrs. Currie was born in Ryot, on Saturday, February 2, 1924, daughter of the late Roswell Smith and Dorothy (Miller) Smith-Logan.

Madeline was a Registered Nurse in Houston Texas for many years, and was a member of Bedford United Methodist Church.

She was the widow of Donald B. Currie, who preceded her in death on October 15, 1988.

Madeline is survived by Sister- Helen Hull, Fishertown; Sister- Mildred Housel, Bedford; Daughter-In-Law- Jackie Pierson, TX; Numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by 2 grandsons-Jeff & Pat, and 1 great grandson-Avery. She was preceded in death by her son Gary Pierson who died July 7, 2006.

A funeral service will be held at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 12th, 2007 with Rev. Jeffrey Welsch officiating.

Interment at Bedford County Memorial Park.
