OBITUARY August 7, 2006
Gary L. "Doc" Davis
Mr. Gary L. "Doc" Davis, age 57, of Burnt House Road, Imler, died at 10:30 PM , Sunday, August 6th, 2006 at his home.
Mr. Davis was born in King Township, on Saturday, October 30, 1948, he was the son of the late Chester M. and Daisy M. (Claycomb) Davis.
He worked as a Flou-packer at A. P. Green at Sproul for 32 years.. and was a member of the Weyant United Methodist Church.
Doc especially enjoyed going hunting, fishing, watching softball games or the special Olympics. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He served in the U.S. Army as a SP 4 during the Vietnam War era.
Doc was the husband of Cindy S. (Conrath) Davis, whom he married March 22, 1971, in Cumberland, MD.
In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- Gary L., Jr. husband of Karen Creps, Bedford; Daughter- LeeAnn wife of Doug Dively, Dunlo; Daughter- Tracie S. wife of Garland Eicher, III, Imler; Son- Adam T. fiancee of Linda Noel, Bedford; Brother- Eugene Davis, New Paris; Sister- Zelda Palya, Gilbert; Sister- Shirley Barefoot, Alum Bank; Sister- Donna Faye Lehman, Imler. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held at Weyant United Methodist Church at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 10th, with Rev. Robert Van Natta officiating.
Interment at Bedford County Memorial Park, Bedford, PA.
