                                                 Violet M. Detwiler

Violet M. Detwiler, age 88, of Carrol's Rest Home, Bedford, PA , formerly of South Juliana Street, Bedford, died at 9:30 PM , Monday, October 16th, 2006 at Bon Secour Hospital, Altoona, Blair County, PA.
 

Mrs. Detwiler was born in Clearville, Bedford County on December 19, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Roy Mills and Cora (Mearkle) Mills.
 

Violet was the owner / operator of Detwiler's Beauty Shop in Bedford from 1950-1995. She was affiliated with the Pennwood Bible Church, she enjoyed cooking, gardening, and traveling. Violet was a graduate of Bedford High School class of 1937.
 

She was the widow of David Art Detwiler, whom she married on December 30, 1941 and he preceded her in death on December 22, 1999.
 

Mrs. Detwiler is survived by Niece- Marsha wife of Donald Wyant, Duncansville; Cousin- Kay Benner, Huntingdon.
 

A funeral service will be held at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford, PA. at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 19th, 2006 with Rev. Floyd Rinehart, and Rev. Roger Christiana officiating.
 

Interment at Everett Cemetery, Everett, PA.
