OBITUARY April 11, 2008
Sharon G. Dibert
Mrs. Sharon G. Dibert, age 64, of Maple Leaf Road, New Paris, PA , died at 5:37 AM , Friday, April 11th, 2008 at her home.
Mrs. Dibert was born in East St. Clair Township, on Saturday, September 11, 1943, the daughter of the late Ruth Ann (Way) and Glenn Callihan.
She was a housewife and a member of the Dunnings Creek Church of the Brethren.
A 1961 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School, Sharon bowled in the Holly & SKF Bowling Leagues, was active in Santa's Workshop at the Chestnut Ridge Middle School, was a former employee at the Snack Shack in Fishertown, enjoyed doing crafts and was the special babysitter for her granddaughter - Tehya..
Sharon was the wife of Barry W. Dibert, whom she married December 18, 1964.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her father and step-mother - Grace (Custer) Callihan, of Martinsburg. Daughter- Teressa (PJ) L. Dibert, New Paris; Daughter- Deirdera A. Dibert, New Paris; Brother- Stephen G. Callihan husband of Carol Koontz, Bedford; Sister- Sandra G. wife of Dean Miller, Dillsburg; Sister- Sheila G. wife of Gordon Bentley, North Carolina; Sister- Sarah G. wife of Curtis Corle, Alum Bank; Sister- Stacy G wife of Kevin Shaffer, Manns Choice, and a number of nieces and nephews. Sharon was preceded in death by her mother and infant twin sons.
A Funeral Service will be held at Dunnings Creek Church of the Brethern at 2:30 PM on Monday, April 14th, 2008, with Rev. Alan Brumbaugh officiating.
Interment at Pavia Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call Sunday 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM at the Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Pleasantville and Monday 2:00 to 2:30 PM at at the church..
Memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society's Relay for Life Program.
