                                                    Alice Jean Ellis

Alice Jean Ellis, age 68, of Hoagland Road, Bedford, died at 7:35 PM , Monday, January 7th, 2008 at Donahoe Manor Nursing Home.

Jean was born in Bedford, on May 30, 1939, daughter of the late Sylvester and Laura (Shaffer) Hoagland.

She was employed at Clara's Place, Best Western Hoss's Inn, Holiday Inn, and the Hillcrest,and was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church Bedford.

Mrs. Ellis was the widow of Ford O. Ellis, Jr.

Jean is survived by Daughter- Lori J. (Ellis) wife of Donald Hann, Bedford; Brother- Donald husband of Betty (Krampt) Hoagland, Bedford; Sister- Shirley wife of James Pennel, Loysburg; Brother- Fred husband of Joyce (Miller) Hoagland, Bedford; half-sister- Lynda (Hoagland) wife of David Miller, Bedford; Step Sister- Daphine wife of Lee Grimes, Bedford; Step Sister- Dorothy Barefoot, New Paris. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren-Todd Eric Tew & Ashley Lynn Fleegle. She was preceded in death by a step sister Betty Fix, and step mother Madeline Hoagland.

A funeral service will be held at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford, PA. at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 10th, 2008 with Rev. Donna Wolfinger officiating.

Interment at Fishertown Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call Wednesday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford.
