                                                 Eugene W. Growden

Eugene W. Growden, age 67, of Belden Road, Bedford, died at 8:55 AM , Saturday, January 12th, 2008 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown.

Eugene was born in Centerville, on Saturday, March 23, 1940, son of the late Alvin M. and Pearl V. (Bosley) Growden.

He was a laborer at General Refractories of Claysburg, prior to that he was a construction worker for many years, and was affiliated with the Manns Choice Church of God.

Eugene was the husband of Teresa (Whitacre) Growden, whom he married on January 9, 1973.

In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- Tony husband of Diane Growden, Winchester, VA; Son- Jack husband of Laura Growden, Slanesville, WV; Son- Timothy E. husband of Jill (Larson) Growden, Bedford; Daughter- Debra Growden, at home; Sister- Edith wife of Raymond Shepherd, Bedford; Brother- Victor husband of Diane (Jay) Growden, Laurel, DE. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren-Stephanie, Ashley, Shawn, Christopher, Josh, Aaron, Jordyn, & Jace..
He was preceded in death by sisters-Gladys Bennett, & Ruthella, brothers-Philip, Junior, David, and an infant brother.

A funeral service will be held at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford, at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 15th, 2008 with Rev. Richard Whetstone officiating.

Interment at Fellowship Cemetery, Centerville.
