                                                 Donald Vance Grubb

Mr. Donald Vance Grubb, age 78, of 2262 Mountain Chapel Road, Breezewood, PA died Saturday, October 14th, 2006 at
Hillview Nursing Home, Altoona,
 

Mr. Grubb was born in Huntingdon, on Saturday, June 30, 1928, he was the son of the late Harold Milton and Hannah
(Green) Grubb.
 

He worked as a self-employed timber cutter. A former truck driver in California , he at one time cut the giant redwwods for
timber. Don especially enjoyed eating out, spending time with his friends and family, and he dearly loved his
grandchildren and great-grandchildren..
 

He was affiliated with the Mountain Chapel Brethren in Christ Church of Breezewood, and served in the U. S Army
National Guard.
 

He was the widower of Wilda Loree (Meltett) Grubb, whom he married on December 20,1957 and she preceded him in
death on June 20,2000..
 

He is survived by Daughter- Judy M wife of John Kegg, Breezewood; Daughter- Tina wife of David L. Weist,
Breezewood; Brother- Gene Grubb, Huntingdon. Don is also survived by 4 grandchildren - Justin N. Kegg fiance' of
Jennifer L. Spencer, Hillary L. wife of Troy Mearkte, Levi T. Weist all of Breezewood and Shasta A. wife of Mike Reyan of
Everett. Four great-grandchildren - Taj Reyan, Stacy Mearkle, Gavin Reyan and Katelyn Kegg. He was preceded in
death by 3 brothers - Arnold, Warren and Harold Grubb.
 

A Funeral Service will be held at the Mountain Chapel Brethem in Christ Church at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 16th,
with Pastor Ron Hott officiating.
 

Interment at Mountain Chapel Cemetery, Breezewood,
 

Friends are invited to call Monday 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Mountain Chapel Brethren in Christ Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home of Schellsburg.
