                                 OBITUARY                   April 20, 2008

                                                E. Blanche Hammer

Mrs. E.  Blanche   Hammer, age 92, of  Submarine Road, Bedford,  died at 11:20  PM , Friday, April 18th, 2008 at Donahoe Manor, Bedford.

Mrs. Hammer was born in Shade Township, Somerset County, on  Sunday, October 10, 1915,  the daughter of the late Robert P. and Izora (Hillegass) Gohn.

She was a  housewife who enjoyed gardening and especially reading and  was a member of the Point Church of the Brethren

Blanche was the widow of Clay J. Hammer, who preceded her in death September 3, 1984..  

She is survived by  Son- Robert C. Hammer, Bedford; Daughter- Gail L. wife of  Mike Welsh, Bedford; Son- Gary Hammer, Bedford; Son- Roger Hammer, Bedford; Son- Leon Hammer, Bedford; Daughter- Doris Ann Harrington, Fairmont, GA. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.

 
Blanche was  also preceded in death  by a daughter -Kay, son - Warren and a brother - Howard Gohn.

A Funeral Service will be held  at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg,  at 10:30  AM on Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008,  with Pastor Janet Sell,  officiating.
