                                 OBITUARY                         September 23, 2007

                                                    David J. Haney

Mr. David J.  "Jake" Haney, age 62, of Riddlemoser Road, Manns Choice,  died at 2:20  PM , Friday, September 21st, 2007 at his home, in Juniata  Township.

Mr. Haney was born in Hollidaysburg, on  Friday, September 29, 1944,  the son of the late Ellsworth Samuel and Lyla Rose (Carberry) Haney.

He retired from the U. S. Navy after 20 years.. serviving in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.   At one time he was the proprietor, along with his wife of Haney's General Store in Fishertown.. and was a member of the Pleasantville VFW Post #9219.

Jake was the husband of Katherine A.  "Kate" (Ball)  Haney, whom he married July 11, 1970..

In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- Jason D. husband of  Amanda Fait, New Paris; Son- Joshua D., Schellsburg; Son- Jeremy D., Denver, NC; Brother- Samuel Haney, Boston, NY; Sister- Anita Killingbeck, Hamburg, NY.  Jake is also survived by 2 Grandchildren - Logan & Laina.

Services are private at the convenience of family.
