                                             Frances E. "Toni" Hillegass

 

 

 

Mrs. Frances E. "Toni" Hillegass, age 78, of Riddlemoser Road, Manns Choice, died at 12:54 AM , Wednesday,
November 1st, 2006 at the home of her daughter.,
 

Mrs, Hillegass was born in Johnstown, on Thursday February 2, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Cletus D. and
Bernadine (Imgrund) Suttmiller
 

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church of New Baltimore, and a 16 year employee of the Fairfoot
Shoe Factory.
 

An active member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Schellsburg Post #4440 VFW. Toni enjoyed playing bingo with her friends
and was a loving grandmother and great -grandmother. She was a 1946 graduate of Berlin-Brothers Valley High School
Toni was the widow of Lester D. "Brig" Hillegass, whom she married April 17, 1947 and he preceded her in death on
November 18, 2000,.
 

She is survived by Daughter- Joanne wife of Gerald Chamberlain, Everett; Son- Paul husband of Donna Pakula, Seven
Valleys; Sister- Bernice Diehl, Edwardsville, IL; Sister- Madeline Fochtman, New Baltimore; Sister- Emma Steach,
Everett; Brother- Donald Suttmiller, New Baltimore; Brother- John Suttmiller, Enid, OK; Brother- Cyril Suttmiller, Enid, OK.
Toni is also survived by 5 grandchildren - Dale Chamberlain, Katrina Eberly, Rene' Rose, Joell Fry and Paul Hillegass, Jr.
and 10 great-grandchildren
 

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Church at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 4th, with Father Alien
Zeth, celebrant.
 

Committal Services will be held at St. Johns Cemetery.
 

Friends are invited to call Friday 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg, where a vigil service for
the deceased will be held at 8:30 PM.
