                                 OBITUARY                   March 14, 2008

                                                    John W. Hinson

 

 

 

Mr. John W. Hinson, age 86, of Hinson Road, New Paris,  died at 11:30  AM , Thursday, March 13th, 2008 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Hinson was born in Helixville, on Tuesday, August 23, 1921,  the son of the late Avery and Henrietta (Bence) Hinson.

. John was affiliated with the Faith Brethern Bible Church, a 1939 graduate of New Paris High School, a 1940 graduate of Coyne Electrical School of Chicago, IL and worked as an electricians helper with his brother Floyd. He then served in the U. S. Army during World War II.  He was a former dairy farmer and worked as a contractor of  Hinson's Plumbing, Heating and Electrical of New Paris. and John was always active cutting wood with his brothers..

 He was the widower of Rosabelle "Rosie"  (Mock)  Hinson, whom he married May 22, 1946 and she preceded him in death October 30, 2003..

He is survived by  Son- W. Roy husband of  Beverly Rodemaker, Mt. Holly Springs; Daughter- Margaret A. wife of  Rayford Williams, Duncannon; Son- Richard C. husband of  Roxan Mihelcic, New Paris; Daughter- Judy L. wife of  Ted Davis, New Paris; Sister- Mary  Nave, Bedford; Sister- Ruth  Smith, Lancaster; Brother- Merle Hinson, Clearville. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren,  4 Step-grandchildren.

 John was preceded in death by 3 brothers - Floyd, Clair and Arol Hinson.
A Funeral Service will be held  at Faith Brethern Bible Church at 2:00  PM on Sunday, March 16th, 2008, with Rev. James Espenshade, officiating.

Interment at Schellsburg Cemetery  with graveside military rites accorded by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.
 Friends are invited to call Saturday 2 to 4 & 7 to 9  PM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg and Sunday 1:30 to 2:00  PM at at the church..
