                                                Sara A. Holderbaum

Mrs. Sara A. Holderbaum, age 91, of East Pitt Street, Bedford, but formerly of New Paris, died at 10:55     AM, Thursday, June 14th, 2007 at Pennknoll  Village, 

Mrs. Holderbaum was born in New Paris, on Friday, April 14, 1916,   the daughter of the late Mingle and Elsie (Suter) - Davis-Mickle.

She owned and operated Holderbaum's General  Store in New Paris at from 1953 until 1978, and was a lifetime member of New Paris United Methodist Church..

Sara was the widow of John A. Holderbaum, whom she married August 6, 1935 and he preceded her in death on December 20, 1958..

She is survived by  Daughter- Wilma Jean widow of  Fred Redinger, Everett. , Sara is also survived by 7 grandchildren - Deborah L.  Presnell & husband Conrad, David R. Holderbaum & wife Louise, Dennis R. Holderbaum & wife Linda, Donald R. Holderbaum, DaeLene Crouse & husband Cris, Dawnette Corle & husband Joseph, Darren Holderbaum & wife Melissa, all of Alum Bank.   and 25 great-grandchildren along with 8 great-great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a son - D. Reed Holderbaum  on August 12, 2004, 2 infant sisters - Dorothy & Helen and Sister Eva Williams.

A Funeral Service will be held  at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg, at 2:00  PM on Sunday, June 17th,  2007, with Rev. Donald Rudge officiating.

Interment at Schellsburg Cemetery Schellsburg, .
