                                 OBITUARY                   April 27, 2008

                                                   Edmund L. Miller

Mr. Edmund L. Miller, age 91, of Helixville Road, Schellsburg,  died at 7:00  AM , Saturday, April 26th, 2008 at Pennknoll Village,

Mr. Miller was born in Napier Township, on  Wednesday, August 30, 1916,   the son of the late Grover and Edith (Kinzey) Miller.

He was an equipment operator  for Lane Metals at Cessna for 18 years.. Edmund had been a farmer, a foreman for PennDot,  former coal miner and an employee of McNeal Lumber.

He was affiliated with the Chestnut Ridge Independent Fellowship Church.

Edmund in his youth,  was quite a baseball player.  He was an avid turkey & deer hunter, a loving father, grandfather who cared for everyone he met..

Edmund was the widower of Gladys M. (Growden)  Miller, whom he married March 14, 1936 and she preceded him in death March 4, 2007..

He is survived by  Son- R. Dean husband of  Sandra Callihan, Dillsburg; Daughter- Melda M. wife of  Carl E. Smith, Jr., Schellsburg; Son- Delmas W. husband of  Pansy F. Sivits, Schellsburg; Daughter- Linda S. wife of  John S. Kot, Schellsburg; Sister- Goldie Miller, Schellsburg; Sister- Charity  Miller, New Paris. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.

Edmund  was also preceded in death by a daughter - Erma K. Miller, brothers - Ford & Rean Miller and a sister - Dora Reighard.

A Funeral Service will be held  at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg,  at 11:00  AM on Tuesday, April 29th, 2008,  with Rev. Joseph Shawley, officiating.
