OBITUARY December 6, 2007
Donald C. Mock
Mr. Donald C. Mock, age 74, of Dunkard Hollow Road, Alum Bank, , died at 6:25 AM , Monday, December 3rd, 2007 at Donahoe Manor, in Bedford.
Mr. Mock was born in West St. Clair Township, on Saturday, March 11, 1933, the son of the late Robert and Ruie (Darr) Mock.
He was a truck driver at and retired after 20 years from Laurel Packaging in Johnstown. He had previously been employed at Lane Metal of Cessna.
He was affiliated with The Faith Brethren Bible Church and served in the U. S. Army as a corporal during the Korean War. He was a past member of Chestnut Ridge Lions Club.
Don was the husband of Mary E. (O'Neal) Mock, whom he married January 23, 1953..
In addition to his wife he is survived by Daughter- Gail E. wife of Dale Weyant, Osterburg; Son- R. Duane Mock, New Paris; Daughter- Lisa K. wife of Tom Boyer, Mechanicsburg; Son- David L. Mock, Alum Bank; Son- Dennis K. husband of Angie Hileman, Imler; Brother- Veryl Mock, Bedford. Don is also survived by 10 grandchildren - Melissa, Melanie, Cody, Jessica, Lauren, Alyssa, Amber, Gavin, Alaina and McKenna along with 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother - Marlin and a sister - Gwendolyn Mitchell. Don enjoyed hunting and traveling with his wife and especially enjoyed his grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held at Faith Brethren Bible Church at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 6th, 2007, with Rev. James Espenshade officiating.
Interment at Mock Cemetery, Alum Bank.
Friends are invited to call Wednesday 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Pleasantville and Thursday 10:30 to 11:00 AM at Faith Brethren Bible Church.
Graveside military rites to be accorded by The Fort Bedford Honor Guard.
