                                         Richard Lee "Rick" Mowry

Richard Lee "Rick" Mowry, age 60, of Highland Drive, Bedford, PA died Tuesday, November 20th, 2007 at home.
Mr. Mowry was born in Bedford, PA on May 12, 1947, son of the late E. Glenn Mowry and Edna Mae (Rohm) Mowry who survives him of Bedford.

He attended Bedford High School and was a graduate of Penn State University. He earned a master's degree from the University of Virginia. Rick was an educator civics and general business teacher in the DC metro area. Later, he worked as a trainer and employee development specialist for the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and the General Services Administration. After retiring from federal service in 1998, he did consulting and organizational development work in the DC area. Mr. Mowry served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Bedford American Legion. He was a member of the St. John's United Church of Christ of Bedford.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by Brother- Michael Mowry, Springfield, VA.

A funeral service will be held at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford, PA. at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 24th, 2007 with Rev. Joseph Puleo officiating.


Interment at Bedford County Memorial Park.

Friends are invited to call Friday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM and Saturday 10 - 11 AM at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford.
