                                                  Roy E. Robinette

Roy E. Robinette, age 84, of Main Road, Bedford, PA , died at 8:12 PM , Thursday, December 27th, 2007 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown.

Mr. Robinette was born in Black Valley, on Tuesday, June 19, 1923, son of the late Top A. and Mazie E. (Imes) Robinette.

Roy worked for New Enterprise Stone & Lime for 11 years, and then was a mechanic for Penn Dot where he retired in 1985. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, and the Bedford VFW Post # 7527.
He served in the U.S. Army as a Corporal in WW II. He received the Purple Heart Medal, Good Conduct Medal, American Theater Service Medal, EAME Theater Service Medal with 3 Bronze Stars, and the Victory Medal.
Roy was the widower of Betty J. (Foor) Robinette, whom he married on September 13, 1947 and she preceded him in death on June 17, 2004.
He is survived by Daughter- S. Jane wife of Curtis Grubb, Bedford; Daughter- Gloria J. wife of Steve M. Bequeath, Everett; Son- Roy E. Foor, Bedford. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother Palmer Robinette, sisters-Goldie Foor, Jessie Sleek, Ethel Ward, Mabel Nelson, and Betty Hafer.
A funeral service will be held at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Bedford, PA. at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 30th, with Pastor Sarah Keilholtz and Pastor Sean McGill officiating.
Interment at St. Mark's Cemetery Colerain, PA.

Friends are invited to call Saturday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM at Louis Geisel Funeral Home and Sunday 1:30 - 2:00 PM at St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
