Mary E. Ross, age 62, of Business 220, Bedford, PA , died at 4:33 PM , Thursday, September 7th, 2006 at home.

Mrs. Ross was born in Saxton, PA on May 9, 1944, she was the daughter of the late James and Margaret E. (Carmack) Ross.

She was a homemaker.

Mary was the widow of John Robert Chalfont, Sr.

She is survived by Daughter- Lisa wife of Charles Miller, New Paris; Son- John R. Chalfont, Jr., Osterburg; Daughter- Charlene K. Bish fiance of Shawnaaron Martin , New Paris; Brother- Norman Ross, Six Mile Run; Brother- James Ross, Ohio; Sister- Martha Wedge, New Paris; Sister- Madelyn Mears, Bedford; Sister- Ellen Miller, Hollidaysburg; Sister- Ruth Ross, Bedford; Step Sister- Cathy Leader, Everett; Step Sister- Edith Guyer, Guyer's Corner; Step Sister- Carol Jays, VA; Step Sister- Rose Swope, Defiance; Step Sister- Peggy Oneal, Yellow Creek. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren-Jonathan Miller, Michael Tewell, Dokata Chalfont, Cassidy Chalfont. She was preceded in death by a brother-William Ross and a sister-Dorothy Ross.

A funeral service will be held at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford, PA. at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 11th, 2006 .

Interment at Evans Cemetery, Dudley.
