                                 OBITUARY                    May 8, 2007

                                           Roger L.  "Spanky" Sarver

Mr. Roger L.  "Spanky" Sarver, age 52, of Schellsburg,  went to be with his Lord at 8:00   AM , Monday, May 7th, 2007 at home., 

 Mr. Sarver was born in Somerset,  on Wednesday, December 15, 1954,  the son of the late Telford  L. and Della Mae (Frampton) Sarver.

Roger was a  coal truck driver at for various trucking companies in Somerset County.

He was a member of Christ Victory Church of New Buena Vista and the B.P.O.E. Aerie #1801 of Somerset.

.Roger was the husband of Tina R. (Halbrock)  Sarver, whom he married June 14, 1975.

In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- Glenden L. Sarver husband of  Stacy Walters, New Paris; Son- Meade E. Sarver, Schellsburg; Sister- Joyce Bowser, Berlin; Brother- Allen Sarver, Jr., Somerset; Sister- Christine Wentz, Somerset; Sister- Lori Barron, Meyersdale; Brother- David Sarver, Hancock, MD; Brother- Telford Sarver, Jr., Friedens.  He is also survived by a granddaughter - Emily J. Sarver, - reared by Mr. & Mrs. Sarver,  and other grandchildren - Ethan, Zachery, Kameron, Keaton, Tyler and Turner.    He was preceded in death by a daughter Jenny on May 11, 1979.     

A Funeral Service will be held  at Christ Victory Church at 10:30  AM on Friday, May 11th,  with Rev. Kerry Cathers officiating.

Interment at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Cemetery,  Friedens.

Friends are invited to call Wednesday 7 to 9  PM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg and Thursday 2 to 4 & 7 to 9   PM and on Friday 10:00 to 10:30  AM at Christ Victory Church.
