                                              Leroy F. "Bud" Seifert

Leroy F. "Bud" Seifert, age 91, of Division Street, Bedford, PA went to meet the Lord Friday, August 31st, 2007.

Mr. Seifert was born in Johnstown, PA on May 30, 1916, son of the late George and Erdie (Mowry) Seifert.

He was a mechanic at Detroit / Penland Diesel for 25 years, he was a member of the Bedford American Legion Post # 113, and the Bedford VFW Post # 7527. Bud was an avid golfer, hunter, and devoted family man. He served in the U.S. Army as a Staff Sergeant of the 125th Ordnance Base Auto Maintenance Batallion in WW II.

Leroy was the widower of Gladys (Eshelman) Metz-Seifert, whom he married on July 1, 1950 and she preceded him in death on April 5, 1976.

He is survived by Daughter- Cheryl B. and husband Lucky Urias, Hedgesville, WV; Step Son- Jerry Metz and wife Helen, Bedford; Brother- Thomas Seifert, Bedford; Sister- Ann Mitchell, Bedford; Sister- Margaret Huber; Sister- Jeanie Edwards, Bedford; Grandson- Matthew and wife Sharon Beemiller; Granddaughter- Celeste and husband Matthew Teachout; Granddaughter- Bethany and husband G.W. Kilmer; Grandson- Kerry and wife Kim Hershberger; Granddaughter- Tara and husband John Waybright; Grandson- Dana and wife Amber Hershberger; Grandson- Kevin and wife Rhonda Metz; Granddaughter- Diana and husband Robert Packech; Granddaughter- Amy and husband Andrew Webb; Friend- Thomas Beemiller. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by brother Donald; Sisters-Edna Seifert, Mabel Miliam, Lillian Lashley; step-daughter-Margaret "Peggy" Hershberger; and a great granddaughter Misty Waybright.

A private funeral service will be held at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford, PA. with Rev. Paul Claycomb officiating.

Interment at Bedford County Memorial Park Bedford, PA.

Friends are invited to call Sunday, September 2, 2007 from 2 - 4 PM at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford.
