OBITUARY February 24, 2008
Donna D. Shippy
Mrs. Donna D. Shippy, age 57, of Brant Hollow Road, Buffalo Mills, died at 10:22 PM , Saturday, February 23rd, 2008 at Health South, Altoona.
Mrs. Shippy was born in Imler, on Tuesday, December 19, 1950, she was the daughter of Warren and Laura (Way) Corle of Imler.
She worked as a food handler for The Area Agency on Aging at the Hyndman Senior Citizen Center. Donna had formerly worked for Hobo's Restaurant at Ellerslie, MD..
She was affiliated with Trinity United Church of Christ Manns Choice.
Donna especially enjoyed attending her grandchildrens sporting events and cheering for them..
She was the wife of Warren F. "Butch" Shippy, whom she married March 15, 1969..
In addition to her husband she is survived by her parents and Daughter- Shelly D. wife of Ted Willison, Buffalo Mills; Daughter- Melissa A. wife of John Snyder, Jr., Hyndman; Son- Harold W. and fiancee Heather N. Cornell, Bedford; Sister- Karen Redinger, Everett; Brother- Elias "Jr" Corle, Sunderland, MD; Brother- Rodney Corle, Bedford; Sister- Tammy Harbaugh, Alum Bank. Donna is also survived by 9 grandchildren - Jacob, Joshua, Jalissa & Jelaina Snyder, Brent, Kecia & Karly Willison, Presley & Hunter Shippy along with a number of nieces & nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held at Trinity United Church of Christ at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 27th, 2008, with Revs. Joseph & Cheryl Ward, Lance Tucker & J. R. Virgin officiating.
Interment at Dry Ridge Cemetery Manns Choice, .
Friends are invited to call Tuesday 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg. and Wednesday 10:30 to 11:00 AM at Trinity United Church of Christ.
