                                 OBITUARY                    May 13, 2007

                                                    Ralph E. Turner

Ralph E. Turner, age 85, of Main Road, Bedford, PA , died at 2:30 AM , Saturday, May 12th, 2007 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Turner was born in Buffalo Mills, PA on May 9, 1922, he was the son of the late Charles E. and Rose Ann (Hook) Turner. Ralph served in the U.S. Army as a Pvt in WW II. He worked for Lane Metal in Bedford for 17 years and drove truck for Penndot for 11 years. Mr. Turner was a member of the Wolfsburg United Methodist Church.

Ralph was an avid race car fan, he enjoyed hunting, baseball, playing ball with his dog "Mickey", and he loved traveling, especially to Dollywood.

Mr. Turner was the husband of Verna L. (Hann) Turner, whom he married on December 27, 1949.

In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- Donald R. husband of Sue (Greise) Turner, Bedford; Son- Gary E. husband of Margaret (Mowry) Turner, Bedford; Daughter- Karen L. wife of Randy Fletcher, Bedford. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren-Christy, Brent, and Dawn, and 1 great grandson-Owen. He was preceded in death by a grandson Derek Turner, brothers-Harry C., and Charles, half-brothers-Jordon Leasure, James, Homer, Lester, & Robert Turner, half-sisters-Marie Fritz, and Pearl Shaffer.

A funeral service will be held at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford, PA. at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, May 15th, 2007 with Rev. Paul Claycomb & Pastor Phyllis Hunter officiating.

Interment at Fishertown Cemetery, Fishertown, PA. Friends are invited to call Monday 2 - 4 and 6 - 9 PM at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford and Tuesday 10:00 - 10:30 AM at the Funeral Home.
