Mr. Thomas H. Custer, 65, of Woodside Street, Friendship Village, Bedford died at 1:00 PM, Monday, December 12th, 2011 at his home.
Mr. Custer was born in Harrison Township on Monday, July 8, 1946, the son of the late Dorsey and Gladys (Martin) Custer.
He is survived by Sister- Jane widow of David Scritchfield, Manns Choice; Sister- Faye wife of Merle Pittman, Everett; Brother- Dorsey "Lee" husband of Judy (Eicher) Custer, Manns Choice. Tom was also survived by nine nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Missy. He was preceded in death by a brother, James Custer.
Tom as affiliated with the Manns Choice Church of God. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. Tom worked as a paint line operator for Hedstrom in Bedford for 38 years. He was a member of the Bedford Moose Lodge #480 and the Bedford American Legion Post #113.
A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 16th, 2011 with Pastor Christopher Faylor officiating.
Interment will be held at Mulligans Cove Cemetery, Buffalo Mills.
Graveside military rites will be accorded by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.
Friends are invited to call on Thursday from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
