Mr. Glenn J. Calhoun, age 60, of W. Main Street, Everett, died at 1:45 AM, Saturday, July 14th, 2012 at his home.
Mr. Calhoun was born in Bedford on Saturday, April 12, 1952, the son of Hazel M. (Hymes) Calhoun of Everett and the late Joseph A. Calhoun who preceded in in death in 1967. .
On March 24, 1979, he married Nancy (Mellott) Calhoun. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by Son- Rustie P. husband of Robin (Edwards) Calhoun, Everett; Son- Shawn R. husband of Erin (Conrad) Geller, Bedford; Son- Travis husband of Candie (Clark) Calhoun, Everett; Daughter- Melissa A. wife of Jason Webb, Waynesboro. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Trever, Jacob, Breanna, Emily, Sophia, Reuben, Chloe and Joshua.
Glenn was a member of the Snake Spring Brethren Church and affiliated with the Everett Church of God. He retired in 2007 from the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Glenn was a member of the Everett Fire Company for 18 years, holding the positions of Operator and Engineer and was an avid hunter. He was a very active race fan and loved attending races, both NASCAR races and races held at local tracks, including, Bedford, Cumberland, South Penn, Thunder Valley, Heston, Jennerstown and Hagarstown Speedways.
Glenn was a loving son, husband, father and grandfather, who will be missed for his infectious smile, generosity and kindness.
A funeral service will be held at Everett Church of God at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 18th, 2012 with Rev. William Kisner and Pastor Janet Sell officiating.
Interment will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park.
Friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Raystown Road, Everett.

Oh Dear lord, I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. He was such a truly wonderful person and I cannot put it to words how sorry I am but I know in my heart I had a lot of wonderful times with him and am grateful to have had the pleasure to have known him. If there is anything you need just call.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of you father. I am one of the designers from where you work so I never had the opportunity to meet your dad.
