Mrs. Bertha W. "Bert"  Edd, 90, of Tiltonsville, OH, formerly of Bedford and Somerset Counties, died at 5:00 PM, Friday, July 20th, 2012 at Heartland-Lansing Nursing Home, Bridgeport, OH.

Mrs. Edd was born in Bedford County on Wednesday, April 12, 1922,  the daughter of the late Harry E. and Amanda May (Richey) Shaffer.

She is survived by  Daughter- Joyce E. Hutchinson, Uniontown; Son- Fred Will, Tiltonsville, OH; Sister- Kathleen McClellan, Mesa, AZ; Sister- Marian Clites, Fishertown. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.  Bert is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husbands, Russell Will, William Edd and Ed Lieberum, her son, William A. Will, three sisters, Helen Pebley, Alice Feathers and Edna Turner and by two brothers, Kenneth Shaffer and Clyde Shaffer

Bert was a member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in New Baltimore.  She was an accomplished artist, who made her living selling her paintings.  Bert was a member of the North Huntingdon VFW, where she was a Gold Star Mother.  She was also a member of the Norwin Art League in Irwin and an avid golfer.

A Funeral Mass will be held  at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Baltimore at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 24th, 2012 with Father George Jakopac celebrant.

Committal Services will be held at St. Johns Cemetery, New Baltimore.

Friends are invited to call on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg, where a vigil for the deceased will be held.

I am so sorry for your loss. Bert was a wonderful person and will not be forgotten. She hold a special place in my heart. Sending prayers for you and your families.

I loved Aunt Bertie! She was full of joy, pep and was so smart....full of life!
I am so glad Ray and I got to visit with her a few months ago.......Love you Aunt Bertie! You will be missed.
