Mr. Charles "Juny"  Weicht, Jr., 93, of Bedford, died Monday, October 16th, 2017 at the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home.

Mr. Weicht was born in Central City on November 3, 1923,  the son of the late Charles Scott Weicht, Sr. and Catherine (Wareham) Weicht.

He is survived by  Sister- Jane Griffin, Bedford; Sister- Lois Leventry, Johnstown.  Juny is also survived by the following nieces and nephews; Tammy Klinger, Marlene Custer, LaDonna Eppley, Kathy Mulberger, Ron Weicht, Connie Logue, Suzie Lambert, Roger Griffin, Randy Leventry, Gary Leventry, Sharon McClain, Janice Leventry, Harry Stull, Jr & William Weicht, Jr.  He was preceded in death by brothers, Vaughn Weicht, William Weicht & Lomaine Weicht, sisters, Mary Ellen Weicht, Ladonna Turney & Florence Stull and nephews, Charles Terry Griffin & Dennis Soho.

Juny was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Friends Cove.  He served in the US Army during W.W.II with Co C. 284th ENGR Combat Battalion.  He later went on to serve in the US Navy as a Gunner's Mate Third Class on the USS Willis A. Lee from March of 1953 thru February of 1957.  Upon his discharge, Juny attended the Johnstown Veterans Trade School and completed the auto body program.  He was employed at Kennametal in Bedford from 1967 until his retirement in 1985.  Juny was a fixture at the Elks Country Club in Bedford.  He was an avid golfer and enjoyed hunting and fishing.  Juny was a wonderful brother, uncle and friend.  He will be greatly missed.

A funeral service will be held at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford at 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 19th, 2017 with Rev. Paul Claycomb officiating.

Interment will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park.

Friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 at the Geisel Funeral Home in Bedford.
