Mr. Charles M. "Bud"  Crist, 92, of formerly of Forest Ave, Bedford, died Friday, October 6th, 2017 at Pennknoll Village.

Mr. Crist was born in Pavia on June 22, 1925,  the son of the late N. Merle and Ada (Burkett) Crist.

He was first married to Jean (Owens) Crist.  She preceded him in death on January 11,1973.  He is survived by his second wife Ruby (McDonald) Feather Crist.


In addition to his wife he is survived by Daughter- Karen F. wife of  Harry Daugherty, Bedford; Daughter- Beverly S. wife of  Richard Spochart, Osterburg; Daughter- Valerie J. wife of  Dr. Eric Weaverling, Osterburg; 10 grandchildren,  17 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren; Brother- Leon Crist, Bedford; Sister- Norma Crist, Pittsburgh; Brother- Terry Crist, Alum Bank; Step Daughter- Carol wife of  Ray Faidley, Hummellstown; Step Son- Alvin husband of  Sandy Paul, York Haven; Step Son- Jack husband of  Patricia Feather, Tombstone, AZ. He is also survived by 5 step grandchildren, and 6 step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Crist and a sister, Mary Bernice "Sis" Ickes.
Bud was affiliated with the Chestnut Ridge Independent Fellowship Church.  He served in the US Army during W.W.II, where he was awarded the Bronze Star for meritorious service in France and Germany from February to March in 1945.  Bud was employed as a lathe operator for US Steel in Johnstown for 30 years.  He was a member of the Bedford American Legion Post #113 and the Pleasantville VFW Post #9219.  Bud was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.  He will be greatly missed.

A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 10th, 2017 with Pastor Mark Dillow officiating.

Interment will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park.  Graveside military rites will be accorded by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.

Friends are invited to call on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
