Mr. Clarence A. Gohn, 96, of Harrison Road, Schellsburg, died Friday, November 17th, 2017 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.

Mr. Gohn was born in Napier Township on August 8, 1921,  the son of the late Robert P. and Izora E. (Hillegass) Gohn.

On November 6, 1946, he married Dorothy M. (Feather) Gohn.  In addition to his wife he is survived by Daughter- Joyce K. wife of Ronald Kline, Thomasville; Daughter- Carol J. wife of Rodney McCray, Needmore; Daughter- Janice A. wife of Jim Davis, Zanesville, OH. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeffrey Kline, a sister, Blanche Hammer and a brother, Howard Gohn.

Clarence was a member of the Chestnut Ridge Independent Fellowship Church.  He served in the US Army during both W.W.II and the Korean War. Clarence was employed as a auto body repairman at the Ford Garage in Bedford and at the May Bros. Garage in Schellsburg.  He was a member of the Schellsburg VFW Post #4440.  Clarence was a wonderful husband, loving father and grandfather and devoted friend.  He will be greatly missed .


A Funeral Service will be held at Chestnut Ridge Independent Fellowship Church, New Paris at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, November 21st, 2017 with Pastor Dan Oldham officiating.

Interment will be held at Schellsburg Cemetery.  Graveside military rites will be accorded by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.

Friends are invited to call on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Chestnut Ridge Independent Fellowship Church.
