Eva L. (Croyle) Turner

Eva L. Turner,  89, of Egolf Road, Bedford,  passed away Tuesday, July 24th, 2018 at UPMC Altoona Hospital, Altoona, Blair County, PA.

Mrs. Turner was born in Schellsburg,  on June 11, 1929,   the daughter of the late Emory and Carrie (Fink) Croyle.

Eva married Homer W. Turner on October 12, 1946 and he preceded her in death on January 16, 2008.

She is survived by  Son- Walter W. husband of  Arlene (Gehrmann) Turner, Canonsburg; Son- Richard G. Turner, companion of Judy Anderson , Altoona; Sister- Audrey Young, Schellsburg; Granddaughter- Amy wife of  Joe Eddy; Granddaughter- Kara Hamann; Granddaughter- Jennifer Crum; Granddaughter- Suzanne Turner; Granddaughter- Lin Turner. , 8 great grandchildren-Katie, Shanie, Abigail, Maddi, Calli, Molly, Steve, and Anthony, and 1 great great granddaughter-Emma.   Eva was preceded in death by a sister Alice McVicker, Brother Donald Croyle, and Brother Emory "Junior" Croyle.

Eva was a member of  Friends Cove United Church of Christ, where she was a member of the Women's Auxiliary.  She was an  Administrative Assistant  for the Agriculture Soil Conservation Service (ASCS) office in Bedford and retired after 29 years.

Eva was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved her family.  She enjoyed traveling with her husband and enjoyed gardening.

A funeral service will be held  at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford,  at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 27th, 2018  with Rev. Dr. Bill Shrout officiating.

Interment at Schellsburg Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call Thursday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM and Friday 10 - 11 AM at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford.
