Franklin W. Hillegas, age 72, of Allegheny Road in Manns Choice died Saturday, August 4th, 2018 at home.
Mr. Hillegas was born in Helixville on December 5, 1945, the son of the late Vincent and Anna Pearl (Shroyer) Hillegas. He worked as a Union Carpenter and was a member of the Carpenters Local 1419 in Pittsburgh for 33 years. Franklin was also a member of the Schellsburg VFW Post 4440, the Bedford American Legion, Post 113 and the New Baltimore Sportsmans Club.
He served in the U.S. Army as a Pvt during the Vietnam War.
Franklin was the husband of Mary Ann (Sarver) Hillegas, whom he married on June 26, 1982.
In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- Vincent R. Hillegas, Manns Choice; Brother- Larry Hillegas, Somerset; Brother- Barry Hillegas, Somerset and Sister- Kay, wife of Jack Walters, Gettysburg.

Interment at St. Johns Cemetery in New Baltimore.
