Harry M. "Riggs" Reininger

Mr. Harry M. "Jiggs"  Reininger, 91, of Hickory St., New Paris, died Friday, May 5th, 2017 at Pennknoll Village.

Mr. Reininger was born in Spring Hope on August 31, 1925,  the son of the late William Daniel and Elsie Mae (Trout) Reininger.

On November 10, 1948, he married Julia L. (Leventry) Reininger.  She preceded him in death on January 22, 2005.

He is survived by  Daughter- Rhea E. Reininger, New Paris; Sister- Cora Feather, Hollidaysburg.  Jiggs was also survived by his loyal canine companion, Teddy.  He was preceded in death by two infant children, Galen & Lucille, three brothers, Glenn "Bill" Reininger, Dale Reininger & Kenneth Reininger, and four sisters, infant; Pauline, Kathryn Urice, Ruie Parks & Mary Cuppett.

Jiggs was a member of the Alum Bank United Methodist Church. He was a carpenter by trade, working both for Clark's Contractors in Bedford and for himself.  Previously, Jiggs had worked as a door-to-door delivery man for Wellers, Sanidairy and Gallikers Dairies.  He was a wonderful man and a loving father, brother, uncle and friend.  Jiggs will be truly missed by all who knew him.

A Funeral Service will be held at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc, Pleasantville at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 8th, 2017 with Rev. Kurtis Knobel & Rev. Daniel Oldham officiating.

Interment will be held at Fishertown Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call on Sunday from 2:00 - 5:00 PM at the Geisel Funeral Home in Pleasantville.
