Jeffrey E. Hobson

Jeffrey E. Hobson, 78, of Ellis Road,  Schellsburg, formerly of New Baltimore and South Fork, died Sunday, December 22, 2019 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Hobson was born in South Fork on September 23, 1941, son of the late Omar T. Hobson and Helen J. (Hillegas) Blozevich.

Survived by daughter, Carrie (Hobson) Filthaut; sons Seth (Tonya) and Walt Hobson; grandchildren, Jordan, Mikah, Chase, Luke, Abby, Levi and Seth II; and special cousins Yolanda Dunmire and Elaine Young. Jeffrey was preceded in death by step-father, William J. Blozevich; sister, Prepa Aleta Benning; and granddaughter, Celeste.

He was formerly married to Mary Will.

Jeffrey served in the  Air Force. He was a Laborer for UMWA where he was part of the Labor Union.

He was a member of many organizations and clubs including the following; New Baltimore Sportsman Club, Bedford American Legion Post 113,  Berlin VFW Post 7795, Sons of American Legion, Polish Club #1878 and St. John the Baptist Society .

Friends will be received on Friday, December 27, 2019 from 6-8PM and Saturday, December 28, 2019 from 9-10:30AM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg.

Services will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 10:30AM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg.

Committal at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
