Mr. Joseph A. Beegle, 67, of Ritchey Cemetery Road, Everett, died Saturday, September 30th, 2017 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.

Red, as he was affectionately known as to his loved ones and friends, was born in Bedford on January 17, 1950,  the son of the late Ralph Beegle and Betty Bennett.

He was the husband of Peggy A. (Martin) Beegle.  In addition to his wife he is survived by Daughter- Kelly Jo (Beegle) Brenneman, Albany, NY; Son- Justin Levi Beegle husband of Andrea Beegle, Dover Air Force Base, DE; Daughter- Mindy (Beegle) wife of David Martin, Pompano Beach, FL; Step Father- Marvin Bennett, Bedford; Sister- Linda wife of Gary Trivelpiece, Everett. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Kerragin Beegle, Maddison Beegle, Kimberlyn "Little Red"  Beegle, Thea Brenneman,  Lena Brenneman, Sebastian Joseph  Martin & Daniel Martin.

Joe was employed as a BAC Local Mason Contractor.  He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.  Red was a life member of the Bedford American Legion Post #113 and the Bedford VFW Post #7527 and the Schellsburg VFW Post # 4440.  He loved being outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, golfing and gardening.  Joe was an avid sports fan and followed PSU Wrestling.  He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A funeral service will be held at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford, PA. at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 4th, 2017 with Pastor David Grimes officiating.

Interment will be held at Ritchey Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM and on Wednesday 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the funeral home in Bedford.
