Mr. Robert A. Bennett, 85, of Country Lane Road, Alum Bank, died Tuesday, November 14th, 2017 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.

Mr. Bennett was born in Montrose on March 29, 1932,  the son of the late Harold and Viola (Squires) Bennett.

On February 14, 1983, he married Louise M. (Allison) Mickey-Bennett.

In addition to his wife he is survived by Daughter- Deborah wife of Rodney Davis, Gladstone, MO; Step Son- Wayne husband of Brenda Mickey, Dubois; Step Daughter- Cheryl widow of Barry Stufft, Alum Bank; Step Daughter- Marcia wife of David Mickey, Alum Bank; Step Son- Alan husband of Kathy Mickey, Alum Bank; Brother- Albert Bennett, Webb, AL; Brother- Larry Bennett, Clayton, NY; Brother- Keith Bennett, Ripley, WV.  Bob is also survived by four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, nine step grandchildren, fourteen step great grandchildren and two step great great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his first wife, Rosemary, a brother, Kenneth Bennett, a step son, Larry Mickey and two step grandchildren, Leah Mickey and Kyle Mickey.

Bob was of the Protestant Faith.  He was employed as a manager at Sun Oil.  He also worked at Moreland Rubber Company, and as a farmer and in construction.  Bob was a member of the Bedford County Sportsman's Club and the Schellsburg VFW Bowling League.  He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend and he will be greatly missed.

Services for Mr. Bennett will be held privately.
