Robert L. Riley, Sr.

Mr. Robert L. Riley, Sr., 73, of Green Leaf Lane, Osterburg, died Saturday, October 21st, 2017 at his home.

Mr. Riley was born in Everett on April 25, 1944,  the son of the late Rollin and Inez (Middleton) Riley.

On June 22, 1984, he married Mary "Frannie" (Howard) Riley.

In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- Jack husband of  Judy Johnson, Leland, NC; Daughter- Rhonda Parker companion of Stacy Leonard, Ash, NC; Daughter- Elaine wife of  Dale Myers, Alum Bank; Son- Robert L. Riley, Jr. husband of  Diane Riley, New Paris; Son- Jody Dwayne Riley, Ash, NC; Sister- Margaret wife of  Dick Bollinger, Wells Tannery; Sister-in-Law- Genevieve Riley, Everett; Sister-in-Law- Betty wife of  Elwood "Tootie" Malone, Rose Hill, NC; Close Family Friend- John Young, and family, Osterburg.  Bob is also survived by the following grandchildren; Jack Jr., Leo, Jordan, Cristie, Sean, Mickel, Destiny, Courtney, Caitlyn, Bubby, Shelby, David, Lilly, Myron, Hunter, Amber, Jada, Crystal, Clinton & Cody and the following great grandchildren; Paydan, Jedidiah, Sawyer, Braylee, Bentley, Berkley, Maddox, Skylar & Elijah.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Rollin "Butch" Riley, Jr.

Bob served in the US Marine Core in Vietnam.  He was a truck driver, retiring after 51 years on the road.  Bob was a race fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR  He also enjoyed watching football and was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan.  Bob loved his Dodge Pickup, his dog "Rambo" and his family, especially his grandkids.  He was a great husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and he will be greatly missed.

A Memorial Service will be held at at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford. at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 26th, 2017 with Pastor John Bennett officiating. Military rites accorded by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.

Friends are invited to call on Thursday from 12:30 - 1:00 PM at the Geisel Funeral Home in Bedford.
