Ronald Eugene Wilson

Ronald Eugene Wilson, age 75, of East Penn Street Bedford died at 1:06 AM, Sunday, August 12th peacefully  at at his home.

Mr. Wilson was born in Bedford on November 25, 1942, the son of the late Charles H. and Margaret C (Imgrund) Wilson.   He was employed as a manager for 20 years at the  at Arena Restaurant.

He was the husband of Mary  "Susan"  (Kopina)  Wilson to whom he married on April 4, 1964.

In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- Mark A. husband of  Rachael (Stayduhar) Wilson, Santa Ana, Ca; Son- Scott P. husband of  Dianne (Hammaker) Wilson, Arcanum, OH; Son- Sean C.Wilson husband of  Loretta Frontera, Lake Hiawatha, NJ; Daughter- Veronica Wilson, Berkley Springs, WV; Brother- Patrick  husband of  Dianne (Erikson) Wilson, Portland, OR; Sister- Sheila wife of  Peter Sutherland, Ashville, NC; Brother- Larry husband of  Kwi Suk Moon Wilson, Edmonds, WA; Sister- Peggi wife of  David Williams, Hendersonville, NC; Brother- Timothy Wilson, Bedford; Sister-in-Law- Elizabeth James, widow of  the late Roger Wilson, N. Fort Myers, Fla.,  7 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.  Ronald was preceded in death by brother Roger A. Wilson.

Ron is a graduate of the very special class of 1960 BHS.  He is a US Navy Veteran and served on the USSWood.  He attended Annapolis Loyola University, Chicago campus and Northwestern University in Evanston Il campus.
He served as President of the Midwestern Pennsylvania Restaraunt Association and was an active volunteer during several congressional and presidential campaigns.  Ron volunteered with SPEC, VITA and TCE.

He participated in the Y's Aquatic Program and made many dear friends with staff and classmates.

A funeral service will be held  at Bedford County Memorial Park  at 10:00AM on Friday, August 17, 2018.
Graveside military rites will be accorded by Fort Bedford Honor Guard.  Interment at Bedford County Memorial Park.

Friends will be received Thursday 1-3PM and 5-7PM at Louis Geisel Funeral Home in Bedford.
