Alice L. (Croyle) McVicker

Mrs. Alice L. McVicker, 86, of Allegheny Road, Manns Choice, died at 7:40 PM, Wednesday, March 23rd, 2011 at Pennknoll Village.

Mrs. McVicker was born in Fishertown on Saturday, November 29, 1924,  the daughter of the late Emory, Sr. and Carrie (Fink ) Croyle.

On August 7, 1941, she was united in marriage to Samuel J. McVicker.  He preceded her in death on July 31, 1971.  They are now reunited in heaven.

She is survived by  Daughter- Dorothy wife of  Larry Hochard, Springfield, WV; Daughter- Donna Wilson, Nampa, ID; Daughter- Barbara wife of  Alfred Sarver, New Buena Vista; Son- Samuel husband of  Linda (Hankinson) McVicker, Manns Choice; Son- Paul husband of  Patty (Wentz) McVicker, Schellsburg; Son- H. Lee husband of  Shirley (Grasser) McVicker, New Buena Vista; Son- Larry McVicker and Friend, Lauren, Manns Choice; Brother- Emory Croyle, Jr., Schellsburg; Sister- Eva Turner, Bedford; Sister- Audrey Young, Schellsburg. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren,  three great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Croyle.

Alice was a homemaker and a lifetime member of the the Manns Choice Church of God where she was a former president of the Ladies Auxillary.

The family would like to thank Jim and Gail for cooking and taking care of Alice when she was at home.

A Funeral Service will be held  at Manns Choice Church of God at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 26th, 2011  with Rev. Richard Whetstone officiating.

Interment will be held at Schellsburg Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg and on Saturday from 1:30 - 2:00 PM at the church.
