Alva P. (Patterson) Kelso
August 30, 1932 — September 9, 2016
Mrs. Kelso was born in Sharpsburg on Tuesday August 30, 1932, the daughter of the late Robert and Bertha (Marondie) Patterson.
On November 21, 1952, she married Rev. Loyal W. Kelso. He preceded her in death on December 18, 2015.
She is survived by Daughter- LuAnn wife of James Boyd, Clarksville; Son- Mark W. husband of Marilyn (Calderone) Kelso, Cumberland, MD; Son- Michael A. husband of Brandi J. (Drenning) Kelso, Schellsburg; Sister- Elizabeth Wellons, Ohio; Sister- Lu Baxter, Ohio. Alva is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sisters, Florence Hood, Eleanor Hamilton, Ruth Luciani & Roberta Marshall and by a brother, Robert Patterson.
Alva was a homemaker and affiliated with the Manns Choice Church of God. She was a loving and kind mother, grandmother, sister & aunt and she will be greatly missed.
A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, September 13th, 2016 with Rev. Richard Whetstone officiating.
Interment will be held at Hyndman Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Geisel Funeral Home in Schellsburg.
