Mrs. Beatrice "Betty" M. McVicker, 96, of Osman Road, Alum Bank died Saturday, November 23rd, 2013 at Conemaugh Hospital, Johnstown.
Mrs. McVicker was born in Johnstown on Wednesday, February 21, 1917, the daughter of the late Sheldon and Anna (Anderson) Simmons.
On July 23, 1939, she married Robert "Bud" McVicker. He preceded her in death on January 21, 1978.
She is survived by Son- Robert E. husband of Erika (Scherle) McVicker, Alum Bank; Daughter- Dianne M. Piras, Alum Bank. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Rick, Robert, Danielle, Brennan, Chelle, Cristan & Heidi, and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth and Dennis McVicker and by five sisters and three brothers.
Betty was a member of the Spring Meadow Family Worship Center. She was a homemaker and a seamstress.
A Funeral Service will be held at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc., Pleasantville at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, November 27th, 2013 with Pastor Gary Boor & Bishop Chris Clinger officiating.
Interment will be held at Richland Cemetery, Johnstown.
Friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 2:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home in Pleasantville.
